Martin Parr is a documentary photographer who specifically focuses on modern life, social classes and communities in and around England. I particularly like Parr’s candid street photography due to the fact that it captures the natural side of people in day to day life. One of his projects focuses on Brighton beach in the 80s, called ‘The Last Resort.’ I think that this is a prime example of home photography in it’s natural surroundings. After studying Parr’s work I thought long and hard how I could show his influence in my work but after taking my photos I found other photographers who had more influences on my work.
