AFHQ OPS ROOM RECEIVES FACELIFT

To enhance its pivotal role as the nerve center, the Operations Room (Ops Room) of the Air Force Headquarters has recently undergone a significant upgrade under the auspices of the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Frederick Asare Kwasi Bekoe.

This transformation encompasses both cutting-edge gadgets and a complete overhaul of the office space, creating an environment that is not only conducive but also fosters efficient coordination of security and flight plans.

At the heart of this upgrade is the integration of the Ops Room with the National Security Signal Fiber Bureau, facilitated by four (4) big screens and consoles. This connectivity enables real-time monitoring of activities on the ground and seamless transmission of crucial messages across various Air Force Bases.

Some responsibilities of the Ops Room include tracking Ghana Air Force aircrafts, recording future commitments and task orders, helping the Volta River Authority in conducting power line inspections, coordinating medical evacuations and disasters among many others.

This upgrade not only enhances the technological prowess of the Ops Room but also underscores its commitment to ensuring the safety, security and operational efficiency of the Ghana Air Force. The Chief of the Air Staff's vision has not only elevated the Ops Room's capabilities but has positioned it as a cornerstone to effectively execute their assigned task.
