Several fantastic prominences (features at the Sun's edge) and quite a few filaments (dark lines on the Sun) are visible in this image from May 25. 

Did you know? Filaments and prominences are actually the same thing: loops of solar gas drawn away from the Sun's surface by magnetic field lines. 

The image was taken with a Lumenera SKYnyx 2-2 camera attached to a Lunt 100mm hydrogen-alpha telescope.
