"Glest" is a free 3D real time strategy game, available for several operating systems.

The game takes place in medieval world where two different fractions battle each other: Magics and Techs.

You can play each of the two fractions. If you decide to play the Techs, you have to use your workers to harvest precious resources (gold, wood, stones) and create buildings you need to explore and exercise new units and sciences. If you take side of the Magics instead, everything can be done with magic. You can summon demons, golems and drakes to send them to battle, but you have to be careful that there are always enough sources of you magical powers.

"Glest" has very nice graphics (weather effects, day and night circle, shadows) and an amazing soundtrack. It can be played in single mode or in multiplayer mode with up to four players (using LAN or internet connection). The whole game can be controlled with the mouse and comes along with several different maps and scenarios.
