Giant Mountains

The Karkonosze Mountains, which are part of the Sudety Mountains , are one of the most popular mountain ranges in western Poland. And it should come as no surprise to anyone. These are easily accessible mountains, the trails of which are suitable for beginners and intermediate hikers. Of course, they should not be underestimated, especially in more difficult weather conditions or when snow falls.
The highest peak under the protection of the Karkonosze National Park is Śnieżka (1602 m above sea level), which rises above Karpacz . At the other end of the range, Szrenica (1,362 m above sea level) dominates over Szklarska Poręba . Both peaks can be reached by cable cars. Poland shares the Karkonosze Mountains with the Czech Republic , on the side of which lies most of the range. An extensive network of shelters and trails allows you to plan both longer and shorter trips. In winter, for those who want to ride on one or two boards, there are ski slopes and areas ideal for skiing.
For whom?
Visit the Giant Mountains if you like hiking . Beautiful and truly scenic routes await you here, such as those leading to Śnieżne Kotły. In addition, in the ridge itself, as well as on its outskirts, you will find many attractions - both natural (eg Szklarka Waterfall) and historical monuments (eg Chojnik Castle). If you are a fan of winter sports, you will also have a lot to do here when the mountain range is covered with snow.
