SEMA-Exhibited Ford Mustang Fastback Re-Creation 5-Speed

This Ford Mustang re-creation was conceived of and commissioned by Ford’s Component Sales Group as a proof of concept for building a 1967 fastback using Ford-licensed parts. The build was performed by Ford licensee Classic Design Concepts of Milford, Michigan, with the resulting vehicle being featured at the 2007 SEMA show as well as on the cover of Mustang Monthly magazine in November of that year. The car features a Dynacorn reproduction body finished in Brittany Blue and is powered by a Ford Racing 347ci stroker V8 paired with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a Currie 9″ rear end with a limited-slip differential, an RRS power rack-and-pinion, Scott Drake suspension components and styled steel wheels, SSBC-USA four-wheel disc brakes, blue and white TMI Products upholstery, a Flaming River tilt steering column, Vintage Air climate control, and a Retrosound AM/FM radio. The car was acquired by the seller in July 2014 and work performed since that time included installing a Holley Sniper fuel-injection system and replacing the Ford Racing clutch, clutch master cylinder, distributor, battery, and fuel pump. This Mustang re-creation is now offered with Ford documentation, parts vendor lists and receipts, build photos, SEMA show promotional literature, scale model kits of the car, copies of publications in which the car was featured, a removed Holley Street Avenger carburetor, service records, and a clean California title in the seller’s name listing the car as a 1967 Ford.
