This Volkswagen Touareg got away, but there are more like it here.
This 2004 Volkswagen Touareg V8 was initially delivered to Pugi Volkswagen of Downers Grove, Illinois, and is finished in Venetian Green over Pure Beige leather upholstery. Power is supplied by a 4.2-liter V8 driving all four wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission and a center locking differential. Additional equipment includes the Premium Plus, Convenience, and Winter Packages as well as 18″ alloy wheels, air suspension, bi-xenon headlights, a powered glass sunroof, heated and power-adjustable front seats, heated rear seats, quad-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, and an AM/FM/CD stereo with navigation. The truck indicates 55k miles and was acquired by the selling dealer in September 2022. The timing belt, water pump, power steering pump, and thermostat are said to have been replaced and a coolant flush and an oil change were performed under current ownership. This Touareg V8 is offered in Florida at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, a window sticker, two sets of floor mats, and a clean Illinois title.
The exterior is finished in Venetian Green and features bright window and lower door trim. Additional exterior details include a glass sunroof, a rear wiper, bi-xenon headlights, fog lights, rain-sensing wipers, tinted windows, a roof crossbar, heated power-folding mirrors, a green VW-logo decal on the rear hatch, and front and rear parking sensors. The seller notes the front bumper was repainted, and the Carfax report shows “minor damage” to the front occurred in April 2019.
Split-spoke 18″ alloy wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Dueler H/T tires. The truck is equipped with an air suspension system and four-wheel antilock disc brakes.
The cabin features seating trimmed in Pure Beige leather along with color-coordinated door panels and carpeting. Amenities include heated and power-adjustable front seats with position memory, heated rear seats, quad-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, power accessories, a rear cargo cover, and an AM/FM stereo with a CD changer and navigation. Rubber and carpet floor mats are included in the sale.
The heated multifunction steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, a central trip computer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 55k miles.
The 4.2-liter V8 was factory rated at 310 horsepower and 302 lb-ft of torque when new. Work performed in November 2022 is said to include replacement of the timing belt, water pump, power steering pump, and thermostat as well as a coolant flush and an oil change.
Power is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking center differential.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Pugi Volkswagen in Downers Grove, Illinois, along with factory colors, options, and a total price of $53,255.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned damage to the front in April 2019 and lists history in Illinois and Texas.
