Paula Patton and actor-comedian Mike Epps have inked with Primary Wave Entertainment, the company formed from the amalgam of Evolution Entertainment Partners, Intellectual Artists Group and Primary Wave Music.
Patton most recently appeared in Universal’s Warcraft and Adam Sandler’s Netflix comedy The Do-Over. Credits also include Paramount’s Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol alongside Tom Cruise, Baggage Claim and Jumping the Broom.
Epps stars as Richard Pryor in the biopic for the Weinstein Company. He played the title character of ABC’s short-lived comedy Uncle Buck and also co-starred in Starz’s series Survivor’s Remorse. He will star in The Trap, an indie comedy based on a story that he co-wrote and will produce with Queen Latifah and her Flavor Unit Entertainment partner Shakim Compere. Both Epps and Patton will continue to be repped by CAA.
Primary Wave produces original content and serves as the studio on multiple productions, including Loudermilk, the original half-hour scripted comedy series created by Peter Farrelly and Bobby Mort for the Audience Network.
