Marvel’s Iron Fist has added a few branches to the Meachum family tree. EW can confirm that 90120 actress Jessica Stroup has been cast as Joy Meachum in the Netflix series, and Tom Pelphrey of Banshee and Guiding Light has been cast as her brother, Ward Meachum.

The two join a cast led by Finn Jones (Game of Thrones) as Danny Rand/Iron Fist, a New Yorker who returns to his hometown and begins fighting crime after learning an ancient form of mystical martial arts.

In the series, Joy and Ward are the children of Harold Meachum (David Wenham), a business partner of Danny’s parents at the time of their deaths. (In the original comics, Ward is Harold’s brother and Joy’s uncle.)

Scott Buck (Dexter, Six Feet Under) is serving as showrunner on Iron Fist, the fourth installment in Netflix and Marvel’s Defenders series. It follows Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage, the latter of which debuts Sept. 30.

A premiere date for Iron Fist has not been announced.

Variety first reported Stroup and Pelphrey’s casting.
