Experiencing Interruptions?

Trespasser

England 1996. A man travels deep into a dark labyrinthian forest, seeking answers to a series of disappearances from his home town. Experienced in survival and tracking, the man is well equipped for the harshness of the forest but ill prepared for the horrifying hellscape he finds himself trapped inside.

TRESPASSER serves to create a horrific otherworld far from the safety of our homes. It looks at mankind’s relationship with the beauty of nature, and the brutal, grisly side of it, especially when we abuse that relationship.

Director Statement

I wanted the setting of TRESPASSER, a gigantic, ancient forest, to be its own character. It appears inviting, almost even protective of our protagonist at first, guiding him to his destination without hardship or confrontation.

It is only when he enters the creature’s lair that the trap is sprung, escape is seemingly impossible and the terrain transforms into a dark, labyrinthian charnel house where mankind is not only unwelcome, it is prey.

The forest represents nature as both creator and destroyer. Giver of life, but swiftly switching to executioner when it is abused or taken for granted.
