Deadman
Location? Are you looking for a real ACES II? A 10 ,F 15 ,or F 16 type? What is your budget? https://www.shapeways.com/shops/a-10c-warthog-supplies https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans. Sabre-TLA
Not sure of the cost but here is a reference for a fiberglass seat: http://www.aerotronicsllc.com/ACES.html And another but I expect this one to be very expensive: http://www.acme-worldwide.com/products/dynamic-motion-seats/fighters/f-15-aces-ii-dms/ Probably cheaper to build your own so here are some references too (maybe for others that stumble on this thread): Link to site with a very simple plan if you wanted to build your own: http://www.simpits.org/design/HowTo_AceIIseat/HowTo_Ace1.html Link to a site of a home built version: http://www.arcair.com/Fea2/1001-1100/Fea1001-AcesII-Beaumont/00.shtm And this one: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=110847 MapleFlagMissions - Read Our Blog for Updates
uscstaylor
Well Guys I was hoping to keep it under $1000. I dont want a real on I was wanting one more like someone built a nice one in their home and is getting out of the simming or just out grew one. I live in NJ on the eat coast of the U.S. and If anyone out there is done using one or is getting into something else and wants to sell one please keep me in mind. Thanks. P.S. Id love to get a kit form one and build myself but from what Ive seen there are no more runs on these.
metalnwood
With Flims plans being only $25 (last link from Sabre) that gives you a lot left from $1k to get someone to cut them in to something you can assemble yourself.
uscstaylor
That's sounds easier said then done. I checked around where I live and the only guy that had a machine to cut that thickness moved away. I live in NJ and would be willing to pay someone but I need to make sure that it won't take forever to get the kit done and I really don't want to pay super high shipping. If anyone here does this sort of thing or know someone that can please let me know thanks guys!
vitabutch
Check out so called "Brenda ACES II plans" (F16) from Viperpit.org. The plans are free. Even though I found design not so eficcient when I finally built it. It's over streigtened. Heavy like hell. She could use much less of material to get the same result. But if you drop it from FL290 no damage will be done to the seat. Accuracy wise it's very good and detailed though. Here is the screen from the plans P.S. Let me know if you won't find the link on the viperpits. P.P.S. Keep in mind that Aces ii for f16 has a different seat to back angle than F15 or A10 seat versions. You cannot use F16 ~30° incline seat in the position of 15° incline like on F15. It will be extremely uncomfortable.
