Hello!
I want to put an 2nd monitor to my computer just to expand my desktop to have more view range for my work. This is temporaly and I dont want to game with that (just for work).

My first and main monitor is an BenQ RL2455HM GAMING MONITOR LED 24
Second is an Samsung monitor 19' with VGA port.

I an msi gtx 770 wich have 1 dvi-d and 1 dvi-i port. I have the conector for vga/dvi-d.

Now my question is, can I use that conector in the dvi-i port?

Solution

What is not easy about it??

You cant use a DVI cable for this, it has to be VGA cable going from Adapter to Monitor.
No DVI cable carries the 4 pin analog signal for VGA which is the difference.

Yes, its because the samsung monitor have only vga ports and my gpu dont have it. I have the conector so it woul be fine I guess.

Yeah it should be so you have like a vga to dvi-d adapter? And your gonna plug it into the dvi-i port on your gpu? Yeah that should be fine.
