TVC 'Ahsoka' Morgan Elsbeth (Gift Of Shadows)ByElias (Customs For The Kid)"We recently received a really awesome gift box in the mail from our good friend and fellow artistPeak-OB1 Custom Creationsthat included an amazingly cool green resin print of Mother Talzin's Sword that inspired the below custom. We had a spare Morgan Elsbeth TVC action figure on an extremely damaged card (Thanks to Amazon's horrible practice of shipping collectibles in paper envelopes! WTH!). All we had to do was break out our paintbrushes and get crackin'!I based her face, neck, and hands in Reaper's Elf Flesh paint, and then used Caucasian Flesh as a medium tone. I generously highlighted with Maiden Flesh to give her that pale Nightsister look. I painted her tattoos with Reaper's Ashen brown, and mixed in some black to make the shaded areas pop."Check out more images of their custom below in our GALLERY!If you would like to submit your own custom figure(s) to be displayed on JediInsider.com, be sure to check out ourCustom Forum section, where you can discuss and show off your work among other customizers.

'Star Wars: Visions' LopByElias (Customs For The Kid)"...This was a 100% sculpted custom. The body was hand sculpted with Aves Fixit and ProCreate onto a completely sanded down TBS 3.75" Jyn Erso action figure to borrow her articulating joints. The head was designed in Blender and completed in Zbrush before we printed the finished headsculpt on our Longer Orange 30 and painted the finished product."Check out more images of their custom below in our GALLERY!If you would like to submit your own custom figure(s) to be displayed on JediInsider.com, be sure to check out ourCustom Forum section, where you can discuss and show off your work among other customizers.

'The Clone Wars' DengarBy Elias (Customs For The Kid)"This commission only took one base figure to create. We took a Clone Wars Pre Vizsla animated action figure then completely sanded and re-sculpted the body to make it look like Dengar in his Clone Wars appearances.I sculpted the head in Blender and after I completed my design, I printed the head that I made on our 3D printer....The backpack for Dengar was completely hand sculpted from scratch as was his removable face mask. His gun was made by modifying an IG-88 weapon accessory."

Jedi: Fallen Order Ninth SisterByElias (Customs for the Kid)This commission required me to pull out all the stops. Lately, I have been starting a lot of recent projects asking myself how in the world will I pull this off. Dad is usually a great resource for ideas and coming up with a strategy. He made a few suggestions that were a great starting point. We started off by using a McFarlane "Halo" Brute Minor action figure as a base figure to sculpt onto for this one. Dad had set aside one of these figures in our fodder to make a Grumgar from "The Force Awakens". Since the Ninth Sister was the same type of alien as Grumgar it was a great suggestion. Normally we try to use all Star Wars parts for our builds but due to the size of the character we had to get creative. We found a few different kits that were available for the character but when we discussed using them with our client it was decided that utilizing self-made original parts was the best direction for this build making this one a 100% "Customs for the Kid" piece. The Ninth Sister's head, helmet, shoulder pads and lightsabers were all designed by me in Blender and then printed here at home. I then molded some of those prints and made red-dyed, clear casts of her visor and lightsaber blades. The details of her body, hands and feet were all hand-sculpted the traditional way using both ProCreate and Aves Fixit. I was really happy how the hand sculpted and 3-D designed elements blended so well together once she was completely assembled. The soft goods kama was hand tailored then painted both red and black by hand. All the Imperial symbols were hand painted as well. I strongly considered designing my own water slide decals but when I saw how difficult it is to print white decals, I just busted out my paint brush and did what needed to be done with detailed precision. This project was great 3-D modeling practice for me. With every new sculpt I get more and more confident making a new part on my laptop. From hand and digital sculpting, soft goods fabrication and detailed paint application, utilizing all the many skills I have obtained over the years really brought this project to life. I was really happy with the final results!Check out more images of their custom below in our GALLERY!If you would like to submit your own custom figure(s) to be displayed on JediInsider.com, be sure to check out ourCustom Forum section, where you can discuss and show off your work among other customizers.

KOTOR Robaku BalboshaByElias (Customs For The Kid)This particular figure was modeled after the character designed by our client. He played as this character and loved the character so much he asked to have it made into an action figure. To make the figure required a mix of hand sculpting with ProCreate and designing other elements of the figure with Blender. Due to the precise details on the helmet of Robaku, he needed to be designed on the laptop and printed on our 3-D printer. The soft goods were made by hand. The rest of the figure was hand sculpted from head to toe.

TCW Marlo The HuttByDarth Daddy (Customs For The Kid)"This Hutt is another release from Uzay Customs. We purchased a print online from a third-party but when our order arrived the figure was a misprint and had a sizable defect along one side. Dad did some repairs with some Aves Fixit sculpt and then painted up the repaired print."Check out more images of their custom below in our GALLERY!If you would like to submit your own custom figure(s) to be displayed on JediInsider.com, be sure to check out ourCustom Forum section, where you can discuss and show off your work among other customizers.

TVC Carson TevaByElias (Customs For The Kid)Initially, I started painting the Carson Teva head that we purchased from Watto's Scrapyard because even 13 years into the blog, we are still going out of our way to promote other artists in the community. I placed the head onto a very expensive super-articulated version of Jek Porkins. I was going to use the helmet of the figure as well, but quickly realized it was a bit too snug and would cause some serious paint rub. Dad did some test fitting with the diverse number of X-wing and Rebel Snowspeeder helmets represented in our collection and found that the POTF Jek Porkins helmet to be the best fit for the Carson Teva 3D resin print. Once we had the build we wanted I quickly painted the rest of the head and the helmet then sealed the paintjob with some Dulcote spray from Testor's.

The Force Unleashed Shaak TiByElias (Customs For The Kid)"This version of Shaak Ti is from the once popular video game "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed". Shaak Ti served as a Jedi General during the Clone Wars. She fought in many battles, even a fight against the deadly General Grievous. Later when Darth Vader attacked the Jedi Temple, she managed to escape and fled from planet to planet until she finally landed on Felucia.Exile on Felucia...This action figure is 100% sculpted and even has handcrafted soft goods. The head I sculpted on my laptop, printed it and then hand painted my design. For the body, I took a 3.75" Black Series Jyn Erso that I completed sanded down with a Dremel. I extended the lower legs to give the figure a little more height. Once I took away all the unwanted plastic and she was sanded smooth, I then sculpted in all the anatomical forms, jewelry, clothing, accessories, and bandaging. The fabric below the waist of the figure was hand cut, stained and painted."Check out more images of their custom below in our GALLERY!If you would like to submit your own custom figure(s) to be displayed on JediInsider.com, be sure to check out ourCustom Forum section, where you can discuss and show off your work among other customizers.

THE CLONE WARS" ADMIRAL TRENCHbyEliasof "Customs for the Kid"To celebrate the day we thought we would share our latest custom commission. This Admiral Trench action figure was 100% sculpted and painted by hand.To begin the build, I used an AOTC Orn Free Taa action figure for my base figure, and then completely rebuilt the torso to accommodate three arms on each side of the body. The arms I borrowed from several Clone Wars Phase I Clone Troopers that I sanded the armor off of so I could utilize their joints and appendages for Trench.Once I had a rough skeleton built out, I got to sculpting out all the necessary forms and later on, all the fine details with the help of some ProCreate. I made the head using a cast of my previous Trenchs head, and resculpting his left side with the same sculpting putty.I recarved the feet with a hot knife and then made molds and several casts of the hands from the K'Kruhk action figure from the Build A Droid line to create the figure at a faster pace. His accessory was designed on my laptop and then printed out on our 3D printer.Once I felt like I achieved Trench's likeness, I set to painting the intricate patterning on his robe and tackled the challenge of continuing the pattern around to the back of the figure. This proved quite difficult because there is no reference of him from that angle. I did my best with the partial shots I was able to locate and inferred how these patterns would continue outside of the frame. Once I felt I acheived a satisfying conclusion to my efforts, I set to replicating the Trench symbol and Trade Federation insignia on the shoulders to complete the figure.I am really happy with both the sculpt and the paintwork on this particular piece. He turned out even better than I had originally envisioned. This is just one of several pieces I will be making for this client. I can't wait to share his other commissions once they are completed."Check out more images of their custom below in our GALLERY!If you would like to submit your own custom figure(s) to be displayed on JediInsider.com, be sure to check out ourCustom Forum section, where you can discuss and show off your work among other customizers.
