Corsair VS450

Dredgy

http://techdredge.com/video/19

Well I needed a power supply, so I got what was cheap. Also an exuse to play around with multi-camera video. As usual, best when viewed on a 21:9 Display!

Pros

  • Cheap
  • Has everything you need on a 450 watt PSU
  • Quality enough
  • Relatively quiet

Cons

  • For the price, none.
  • Non-modular
  • No silent mode

Pretty quick and easy product to review!

Aww yeah!

Nice review :) It's not the best quality PSU but it's cheap and it'll do for budget, non-gaming systems I guess.

Yeah. It's not a good platform, either.

Isn't a bad platform either. It's not going to explode, is reliable, and considering its use case, price and wattage I wouldn't pay extra for more efficiency.

I'd digress - there's MUCH better for the price. It's quite poor value considering the CX500 usually hovers around 15$

Here the CX500 is a lot more money. The VS450 was about $80, the CX500 closer to $110.
