Conclusion

...the Graphite Series 230T covers most of the basics by offering decent cooling performance, solid build quality and the right amount of flair for an adequate price.

Having arrived on the chassis scene with high-end solutions that impressed reviewers and readers alike, Corsair has in recent years shifted its focus to mainstream dominance with the launch of numerous low-cost models.

The latest addition, the Graphite Series 230T, is an entry-level alternative to the award-winning 600T and, while lacking in high-end functionality, retains some of the charm. Available in a choice of colours and styled to turn heads, the 230T is in our estimation one of the better-looking sub-£70 chassis currently on the market.

Corsair's stylish design alone makes the 230T worthy of consideration, but there are suggestions that this is a case of style over substance. As fond as we are of the exterior, we'd have happily paid a little more for a higher-grade interior with modular drive cages made of metal, rubber-grommeted cable holes and a greater number of dust filters.

These are weak points that would would-be buyers will need to consider, but if the feature set fits the bill, the Graphite Series 230T covers most of the basics by offering decent cooling performance, solid build quality and the right amount of flair for an adequate price.

The Good

Easy to build into
Looks modern and attractive
Decent cooling performance
11 tool-free drive bays
Sturdy overall build quality
Available in a choice of colours

The Bad

Plastic drive mounts feel basic
Cable holes lack rubber grommets
Fan LEDs can't be disabled
Could do with more dust filters

Our under-load reading is actually pretty good….

“pretty good” aka “the best of any chassis under test”? Given the decent cooling performance as well, I think the load noise level is pretty remarkable!
Very little to complain about Corsair cases. They really are raising the bar for the competition…

Thermaltake - who are they?
“but we suspect it'll be a real challenge trying to squeeze in a 240m liquid-cooled radiator”

I have yet to meet a case that could take a 240m radiator!
Assuming you meant a 240mm radiator then it seems very easy, ditch the drive cages and one of the 5.25" bays and a 240mm radiator fits in front

You've not been around many cases then.

To name just a few….
The mesh front is very much like my Antec 900
