Best bakery in Jackson Heights
Colombian pastries are authentic & delicious.
Their cakes are top notch ... Worth the price!
Try: flan, chocolate cake, tiramisu and definitely the Colombian black cakeHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 5, 2023
I tried the one in Astoria first and wasn't loving it. Expensive and not to my taste.
Ordered food from Mario's and went o get dessert to this one and service was slow. Two women behind the counter with 3 ppl ahead. Got the Oreja, the cream custard pastry and a chocolate donut. The glaze on the pastries make it look plasticy. The texture is bready not like a dessert. And not sweet.
My favorite place is on Roosevelt ana 91st but they only take cash and I was heading in the other direction.
I gave it two chances. Won't be going again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Salina X.Queens, Queens, NY11834Feb 4, 2024
The guava juice was insane soooo good. Passion fruit juice was a bit unripe but that just means it's fresh. The sugarcane drink I would pass. The flan was dense and hands down the biggest one I tried so far. 30 mins limited seating. Would come again to try the other stuff.

Wanted to love this place but it is just not happening -
Again when you ask the staff how much is the pandebono? The quick answer is : read, the price is there!!!
Empanadas were hard-
Staff's actitud here is amazingly NOT what Colombians are known for-but it is expected as the owner has always been grouchy and it seems as she is always in a bad mood towards customers.
Don't ask to accommodate a larger party as they won't allow you to put two tables together. They don't use enough "fruit pulpa" on the juices,
it will be nice if what goes inside will match the beautiful displays on the outside.
As always there are other nearby places where you can get decent Colombian bake goods with a pleasant atmosphere.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 29, 2022
I walked in recently after checking out the beautiful Thanksgiving/Fall decor outside upon entry. That's right! The presentation is on point. I came in wanting empanadas and walked out with said empanadas. I ordered two chicken empanadas which were delicious! They were made with the corn shell and tasted so good. I also had to try the empanada de cambray. It was tasty. Filled with queso blanco (cheese), dulce de guayaba (guava paste), y miel (honey), it was yummy. I enjoyed my snacks, and I would return to try more baked goods and other foods.

Cute bakery from the outside: 2 stars instead of 0 because of the cakes alone - they are actually decent slices of cakes . However, the service is horrendous...
My mother and I stood in a line with 5 others on a weekday in the afternoon for over 10 minutes with the line not moving an inch. There were 3 ladies behind the counter, all chit chatting, with 1 of the ladies tending to 1 customer in the front of the line and the other 2 that have no care for taking the next person in line. It's like the customers didn't exist. Super strange, as if they didn't want the business - there are other bakeries in the area with quicker and attentive service with great cakes too. Last time we'll be visiting this establishment.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mia M.Flushing, NY7242Nov 24, 2023
Their cakes are amazing! The ones I have tried so far are chocolate cake flan, red velvet and triple chocolate mousse and all of them are delicious, moist and not too sweet. Def coming back for more

Perfect amount of sweetness. Definitely coming back for more. Additionally the place always look so amazing with their various seasonal flower arrangements. Been walking by this place for years now, so glad to finally try it!

This is not a traditional looking Colombian bakery. It is modern and sleek and you can tell that this place caters also to the yuppies in the neighborhood. For example, they do have familiar items like pan de bono, bunuelos, tres leches cake, empanadas and mini bandeja paisa. But they also offer an American breakfast, espresso, lattes, red velvet cake, tiramisu, cheesecake, and other American bakery staples.
The prices here are also higher than other Colombian bakeries in Jackson Heights. However, I have eaten several things from here and the quality of everything was very good. The slices of cake they sell are also very generous in size and filling too.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - May 30, 2021
I came here with my brother last night. I was first attracted to it because the outside of the cafe is filled with flowers. I love flowers and thought it was beautiful.
I had a Colombian coffee and got a guava pastry and a cheese pastry. The coffee was one of the best I have had. The pastries were also very good. The owner was super sweet and really made our experience. We loved speaking with her. Hands down, most beautifully decorated bakery I have ever been to. They also change their decor seasonally.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0
