Slow And Intentional Photography — M42 Lenses

M42 lenses are a great way to learn more about photography.

This was the first M42 lens I ever bought. The Hanimex 28mm f/2.8. It was terrible. Not sharp, flared badly, and not well built. But you know what, I loved it so much, simply because I could be in full control of it. I attached it to my old Canon 40D and I was away. (Photo by me, shot with a Pentacon 50mm.)

There’s a time for slowness and a time for speed.

A time to purposefully focus and a time to point and shoot.

There’s a time for interacting with your camera and a time for being happy snappy.
