It’s almost here! A special model of the BMW XM called the BMW XM Label Red coming this year!
The new 2023 BMW XM Label Red is the German automaker’s first plug-in hybrid SUV.
Among other things, the high-performance XM has a 4.4-liter BMW M TwinPower Turbo V8 engine and electric motor that produce a combined 489 HP and 479 lb-ft of torque.
Now, a special model of the BMW XM called the BMW XM Label Red brings even more power and performance.
Starting at $185,000, the Label Red limited edition model gives you exclusive exterior paint colors, cabin upholstery, and trim selections – plus much more.
Production of the Label Red is expected to begin in the late summer of 2023 and is expected in showrooms this fall.
It’s a bold statement by BMW. The XM performance plug-in hybrid SUV celebrates the M division’s 50th anniversary and is the first ever full-M PHEV. But with more choices than ever before.

BMW now offers a choice of standard or Competition model for its regular M models. For the XM, BMW has dropped the Competition moniker in favor of the even more dramatic “Label Red.”
Among other things, the BMW XM Label Red features visible red surrounds for the twin kidney grille (including around the small XM badge), as well as around the XM’s side windows. It also has unusual wheels with red accents The red theme is expected to carry over to the interior with matching red upholstery.
BMW will also increase the combined power output from its twin-turbocharged V8 and electric motor from 644 horsepower to 738 horsepower. With that change, there will likely be changes to the suspension system as well and also upgraded brakes and tires.
But the XM itself is nothing to sniff at.
