Bam Margera is engaged to his girlfriend, Dannii Marie.

The Jackass alum, 44, proposed to his model fiancée in October, a representative for Margera confirmed in a statement to PEOPLE on Thursday. Us Weekly was first to report the news.

In recent months, Margera shared glimpses of the couple's relationship online. In November, he posted a video where Marie assisted him with stretching after a skateboarding session. He wrote in the caption, "All pro skaters need a stretch coach, but I get to 💜 mine. Happy Birthday Dannii! @danniimarieofficial"

In an Instagram post in September written in honor of Margera's birthday, Marie opened up about their connection alongside a sweet photo.

"Happy Birthday to this amazing, one of a kind soul. Words cannot express the connection and the bond we share. Keep after your goals and your eyes on the future. I am beyond proud of you and I love being by your side. 🖤♥️💜🖤🫶🏼♾️🧊," her caption read.

December has been a big month for the former skateboarder, who uploaded an Instagram Video on Dec. 1 recorded by Mark Wahlberg, congratulating him on his sobriety.

"So happy for you and your sobriety. Wow, 120 days. God bless you bro, hope you and your family are well and I look forward to connecting with you soon. I've always been such a big fan and I look forward to seeing you brother," Wahlberg, 52, said in the video.

Margera's recent news comes after his ex-wife, Nicole "Nikki" Boyd, filed for divorce in February. She cited irreconcilable differences and listed a breakup date of Sept. 14, 2021. The two married in October 2013 and share a son, Phoenix Wolf Margera, whose birth was announced in December 2017. It was Margera's second marriage after being married to his childhood friend, Missy Rothstein, from 2007 to 2012.

In July, Margera claimed he and Boyd were never legally married and told TMZ in December that he had been cleared to see his son. He's also faced a series of legal issues, including being arrested in San Diego County in March for allegedly kicking a woman and being accused of physically assaulting his brother, Jess Margera, in July.

Bam pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges, including simple assault and making terroristic threats. He was released on a $50,000 bail. At the time, Judge Albert Iacocca determined Bam would have to stand trial for the allegations.

The TV personality was ordered to get a drug and alcohol screening. However, during the court appearance, Bam disclosed that he had undergone drug and alcohol treatment this year and was living with former Los Angeles Lakers player Lamar Odom.

In March 2022, the reality star announced that he had completed one year of treatment at a Florida rehabilitation center for alcohol.

"What's up, it's Bam Margera and I just got out of a year of treatment in Florida for alcohol, and now I'm back and ready to rock," he said in an Instagram Story, before announcing his involvement with the video app Cameo.
