Jennifer Lopez may have some difficulty walking up the Metropolitan Museum of Art's iconic steps on Monday, May 6 — but she'll look good, regardless.

The multi-hyphenate is co-chairing the 2024 Met Gala, themed "The Garden of Time," and teased her look for the event during an appearance on Good Morning America.

"You’ll have to tune in to see," Lopez, 54, said coyly of her ensemble. "But it’s exciting, it’s exciting. It’s a fun night for fashion."

GMA's Lara Spencer then asked Lopez if she'll "be able to walk in your look." The This Is Me... Now artist responded, "Barely, ever. The Met Gala looks are not about comfort."

Lopez is one of five co-hosts for the gala, joining ZendayaBad BunnyChris Hemsworth, and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

"I was really honored to be asked to host it alongside Zendaya and Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth," Lopez said on GMA. "Anna was gracious enough to ask me. We’re going to have a good time."

Of the event, which she's attended more than a dozen times before, Lopez said, "It’s always a nice time there. It’s such an interesting mix of artists and business people. It’s not just music or film, it’s everybody — fashion, film, music, business — and you get to have some really interesting interactions."

Some of Lopez's most iconic past looks have included a Ralph Lauren midriff-baring halter gown and pink silk satin skirt for the 2023 Met Gala. Two years prior, she was also dressed by Ralph Lauren. Her Western-inspired look included a couture bustier, crystal embroidery and braided leather trim, topped off with a wide-brimmed hat.

Back in April, Lopez appeared in a video shared to Vogue’s Instagram account and said she was "still deciding" on her look for 2024.

"I’m also one of those people who chooses at the last minute," she explained. "Like, I like choices, and then I go, ‘Okay, this is how I feel today.' And then we try to kinda create some type of amazing look — ‘cause that is the night for looks!”
