Powered by a suitable hydraulic cart, the Tronair AGE13604A Ground Test Motor Tool is used to back-drive the Ram Air Turbine (RAT) during ground checkout.

The hydraulic motor provides power and speed capabilities consistent with the requirements of the ground test procedures. Ground tests are to be performed in accordance with the aircraft's AMM and RAT manufacturer's instructions.

The Ground Test Motor Tool consists of a hydraulic motor, adapter plate, splined adapter shaft, two hoses with couplings for connecting to a hydraulic cart, a strap-and-hook assembly for supporting the hose by the fuselage, and a heavy-duty storage case.
