The Licheń Sanctuary is the second, after Jasna Góra, religious center in Poland in terms of the number of arriving pilgrims. It gained fame thanks to:

• The Miraculous Image of Our Lady of Lichen, famous for its graces for almost 200 years;
• The place of apparitions in the nearby Grąbliński forest;
• A spring that gushes with water considered by pilgrims to be miraculous;
• Golgotha - built by pilgrims, a 25-meter stone mountain with the Way of the Cross;
• "Maria Bogurodzica" - the largest bell in Poland, weighing 14.7 tons, and the largest organ in Poland providing musical setting for the celebrations taking place in the Basilica;
• Basilica constituting a votive offering of the Polish nation for the third millennium of Christianity.
