I keep hearing this word these last few days… it is time for justice.
God allowed Sisera to oppress His children for 20 years – a pretty long time! Likewise, God has allowed people to oppress, falsely accuse, wrongly judge, under cut, back stab, punish, take advantage of, slander, make fun of, ridicule His chosen children, children who are true to His heart. However, just like He did with Sisera, God is now ready to mete out justice having given a time and a season for those who have been hurting His children to repent.
God says He has been giving them ‘warnings’ all along. He is happy with those who like the anointed yet humble Davids responded to the Nathans (or through any other means) through whom God spoke and took heed to the warnings, repented and made a U-turn. God speaks of them as children after His own heart.
However, for those who have remained stubborn and refused to listen as they have hardened their hearts to appear self-righteous and not wanting to change, the time has come to mete out justice. The blemish free lamb is roaring as the lion of Judah. The full bellowing is yet to come, but this is a foretaste. He is taking this drastic measure as yet another chance, the final chance though as He doesn’t want anyone to be the branches that are not bearing fruit, that are to be cut off and thrown into the fire. Yet after this time of JUSTICE if they are still stubborn, then God will relent to them facing the consequences of their choices, of their hardened hearts.
Bearing fruit is the fruit of the Spirit, not works of ministry… Remember the Scriptures where some who had cast out demons in the name of Jesus, who had prophesied in His name, who had healed in His name approached Jesus saying ‘Lord, Lord’. They were saying and doing the right things. Jesus responded to them by calling them evil doers and asked them to GET AWAY from Him as He didn’t know them. People can continue to operate in the gifts that God had blessed them with, even if they aren’t having a quality deepening relationship with God. Ministries and gifts aren’t a sign of relationship with God at all. Such people are evil doers in God’s eyes. Jesus also makes it clear that evil doers are those who belong outside of the Kingdom of Heaven, not in.
It is a time for JUSTICE now… those who have ears, let them hear. Those who think they have got it all right without being open to their blind spots, let them experience the JUSTICE.
Then Hezekiah repented of the pride of his heart, as did the people of Jerusalem; therefore the Lord’s wrath did not come on them during the days of Hezekiah – 2 Chronicles 32:26
And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? – Luke 18:7
Let their lying lips be silenced, for with pride and contempt they speak arrogantly against the righteous – Psalm 31:18
The Lord Almighty planned it, to bring down her pride in all her splendour and to humble all who are renowned on the earth – Isaiah 23:9
Though you build your nest as high as the eagle’s, from there I will bring you down,” declares the Lord – Jeremiah 49:16
