Opticstar DS-336C XL Help Please

Recommended Posts

I have recently purchased an Opticstar 336 and plan to use it with the bundled software: Nebulosity V2. Does anybody have any experience of this setup; I plan to use it with a SolarMax 60II and a Skywatcher Evostar 100Pro.

Each sky has a resolution limit. In Europe in common places it's very unlikely to do images at a resolution bigger than 1 arcsec/pixel, where usually 2 arcec/pixel or lesser will give better results (as the sky won't be best).

That Opticstar-crazy-cam with 3.45 x 3.45 pixels would give you 0.79 "/pixel at 900 mm - hard to use, and harder to guide. And binning on color cameras isn't also a effiecient thing. Smallest short ED refractors are the way to go with such pixels.
