Excellent shade tree for parks and gardens with a spectacular flowering in spring. This tree resists very well pollution which makes it perfect in urban landscapes. Very fast growing. It can re-sprout after a fire. In Asia the wood is used to make carpentry elements.
Deciduous tree reaching 15m of a height with big green heart-shaped leaves and fragrant lilac bell-shaped flowers.
It needs neat and neutral soils from cool to humid ones.
