This galaxy pair consists of
NGC 2336 and
IC 467. The distance for
NGC 2336 is about 102 million light years and for
IC 467 about 104 million light years. Their angular separation is about 20.3 arc minutes - that puts their distance from each other at about 0.6 million light years.
The image also contains multiple background galaxies that are best seen in the full size image. The furthest objects visible in this image are the Quasars - their distances (by light travel time) range from 3.419 to 10.56 billion years.
