North Goa is known for beach shacks, flea markets, and an endless variety of food. Those who are into partying and want to unwind at the beaches in North Goa, these are our favourites.

Sinquerim Beach
Situated at the south of famed shorelines like Calangute, Baga, and Candolim, it’s an ideal spot for swimming, and is from where one can see the renowned Aguada Fort that was built by the Portuguese. Situated around 13 km away from Panaji, this beach stands out among other shorelines, where one can indulge in parasailing, water-skiing, fishing, and scuba diving.

Anjuna Beach
This beach caters to people with different budgets and travel tastes. Known for its Goan influences, beachside resorts and hotels, trendy nightclubs, Anjuna beach has it all. Spread over the golden coastline, the northern and southern end of Anjuna beach offers a tonne of activities. While the northern end hosts a number of water sports, the southern end is mainly a rocky headland. Also, when you are here, don’t miss the flea market, where you can get a great deal if you are an expert in bargaining.

Vagator Beach
It’s one of those beaches that enchants people of all ages. It’s also one of the best beaches in Goa that offers almost anything and everything, from sightseeing options, water sports, to tranquillity and shopping options. Further, it is adorned with red cliffs that look down to two freshwater springs, which are also at a stone’s throw distance from the sea.

Arambol Beach
Arambol Beach is a part of a fisherman’s village, which borders the Keri Beach and Mandrem Beach on two sides. The Bohemian vibe, and the plethora of beach shacks, vibrant nightlife, open air events, and live music gigs makes it one of the sought-after beaches in Goa. One can also indulge in a number of watersports when here, or can simply opt to take a stroll along the water. One can even hire scooters and motorcycles or personal use.

Baga Beach
This spot seems like straight out of a book of art. It is considered a star attraction of Goa both by the locals as well as international tourists, because of the atmosphere that surrounds it, and leisure activities that one can embrace on and around the sand. Regardless of whether you want to indulge in water activities, or just want to sit back in the sun, the diversity of this North Goa will keep you captivated.

Calangute Beach
Fondly called the Queen of Beaches in Goa, Calangute Beach is a haven for nature lovers, because of its charm and spectacular natural beauty. When here, you get to witness that this spot reflects the unique Goan culture, whereas its picturesque landscape serves as a perfect retreat for visitors. You can also indulge in some exhilarating water sports when here.

Morjim Beach
This North Goa beach is known for its unique ecosystem, which makes it an ideal habitat for Olive Ridley sea turtles that come here late in the evening to lay their eggs. The beach is also blessed with lush greenery and scenic landscape. Further, the presence of the Chapora River offers a unique appeal to this place. Also known as the Turtle Beach, it’s protected by government regulations given that this breed of turtle is endangered.

Miramar Beach
Miramar is a Portuguese word, which means ‘viewing the sea.’ Visitors spend hours at the beach, and take in the serene and beautiful views of the beach and ocean itself. Famed for its silvery-white sand that stretches along the coastline for around 2 km, one gets to watch spectacular sunsets here. If you visit this spot during November and March, you also get to spot a large number of migratory birds.
