Brisbane Named One of ‘World’s Greatest Places’ by Time Magazine

18th April, 2023

Brisbane has recently been named one of the 50 greatest destinations in the world by Time Magazine – the only Australian city making the cut. The magazine compiled the list by asking their international network of correspondents and contributors to nominate places on the basis of new and exciting experiences on offer.

Brisbane’s significant infrastructure development for the 2032 Olympics and the iconic $3.6 billion Queen’s Wharf played a large role in its nomination, along with the artsy James Street Precinct, the foodie-centred Fortitude Valley, and of course the city’s “perennial sunshine”.

On the ground in Brisbane

The announcement was exciting news, but no surprise to us. Our team in Brisbane is perfectly placed with intimate knowledge of the Brisbane and Gold Coast markets, and they know all the reasons why people are choosing to call this sun-soaked city home.

We have worked on some fantastic developments in Brisbane, one notable example being the spectacular Queen’s Wharf Tower. Queen’s Wharf has arguably been the most successful off-the-plan property development in Australia’s history and is carving a true legacy in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD. In the first 4 weeks after launch, an impressive 740 apartments were sold (that’s 90% of the tower!), capitalising on pent-up demand and the 7,000+ leads our campaign delivered in that timeframe.

We’re also currently working on a 22-storey apartment development in Milton, Brisbane with Kokoda Property. Designed by Cottee Parker Architects, the collection of luxurious 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments are crowned by resort-style rooftop amenities including a pool, wellness centre and private dining.

The proof is in the data

We’re thrilled to have a Queensland campaign listed in the recent award nominations in the Annual REA Excellence Awards (AREAs) – awards open to REA Group customers.

Our campaign for V&A Broadbeach is a finalist in 2022 Apartments Campaign of the Year – QLD & NT. This is a data-driven category, meaning our nomination was purely based on the results of our campaign.
