A collision Monday evening involving a car and Tulsa fire truck left a woman and girl dead, police said, and another passenger in the car suffered a miscarriage.
The truck was westbound on 41st Street with its lights and sirens on while responding to a structure fire around 5:30 p.m. At the intersection of New Haven Avenue, a white Hyundai sedan collided with the fire truck, according to Tulsa police.
The car went off the road, rolled and came to rest on a utility pole. The firefighters in the truck were not injured and immediately began life-saving measures to assist the car’s occupants, police said.
A 23-year-old female passenger and a 5-year-old girl were transported to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
A 26-year-old passenger who reportedly was in her second trimester of pregnancy had a miscarriage, police said.

The driver, a 28-year-old woman, was hospitalized, as were an 18-month-old boy and a 4-year-old girl. Police have not provided an update on their conditions.
None of those involved have been publicly identified.
