Method

Ingredients

You will need:

  • 190-220 g flour | 7.00 oz
  • 80 g sugar | 2.80 oz
  • 50 g butter | 1.75 oz
  • 1 egg
  • 40 g of the most delicious honey
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • a pinch of salt

Cooking

  1. Mix the egg, sugar, honey and salt in a saucepan. Stir it until smooth and add butter. Put the stewpot over medium heat, and wait until it boils; then remove from the heat and add the baking soda. Mix well.
  2. Let the mixture cool, then add half a portion of flour, and start kneading the dough, adding optional flour (do not add all at once, add how much the dough needs). The dough should become soft, but not sticky to your hands.
  3. Next, put the dough into a plastic bag and put it in the fridge for at least 3 hours. After that, roll out the dough to a thickness of 0.1 inch on parchment paper or a rug (so as not to transfer the delicate dough to a baking sheet without damaging the symmetry of the number), sprinkle the dough with flour, if necessary, cut out the desired number on a stencil. I print them on an A4 paper.
  4. Bake the numbers in a top-bottom mode at 356F until light golden brown. Let them cool and decorate the biscuits.
