PHOENIX — Five people, including firefighters, were taken to a hospital after a crash involving a fire truck in south Phoenix.
Just after 11:30 a.m., a Phoenix Fire Department truck was involved in a crash with a flatbed delivery truck near 40th Street and Broadway Road.
Officials say four firefighters and the driver of the flatbed truck were taken to a hospital for precautionary reasons.
During the crash the gas tank of the flatbed truck was punctured and was quickly sealed by a hazardous materials truck, fire officials said.
Phoenix PD is investigating the cause of the crash.
