If you didn't know, Jessica Alba started her own YouTube channel while we were all on lockdown due to the pandemic. Since then, she's consistently posted videos about beauty, fashion, food, and even ASMR. In her most recent video, the Honest Beauty founder showcased her speedy makeup skills by banging out a full look in less than five minutes flat. And well, we were so wowed by the actor's ability to do her makeup so quickly that we felt the need to share.
The video, which is titled "5 Minute Contour Challenge with Sofia Vlahos" features Alba and Vlahos (a fellow YouTuber) attempting to do their face makeup — primer, foundation, contour, and powder — in five minutes or less. Lo and behold, the beauty mogul, who's had years of experience both sitting in the makeup chair and building her own makeup line, nailed it like it was no big deal.
The video begins with both women doing their brows and pulling their hair back before starting the timer. Then, they start the clock and get into the face makeup. Alba uses her brand's Everything Primer Matte, followed by the new CCC Clean Corrective With Vitamin C Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30 in the shade Light. Then, using the same product in the Medium hue, she contours with it, which she says is a great tip for getting extra sun protection.
To amp up the definition, she then applies the Everything Cream Foundation Compact in Guava, which is a few shades darker than her skin tone, on top. Up next, she dusts on some of the Luminizing Glow Powder in both shades — Dusk and Midnight — to make her complexion look more radiant.
Finally, she sets her makeup with a small fluffy brush, followed by a beauty sponge to make sure everything is blended seamlessly into the skin. Alba finished up with a few seconds still on the clock, and she looks incredible. And in under five minutes no less.
