Spring is the perfect time to change up your beauty look and it seems like Katie Holmes has done just that as she's been spied out and about with a brand-new haircut.
The actress, who had previously been rocking her chocolate-brown hair in a longer style falling past her shoulders, decided it was time for a bit of a chop, trying on the ever-popular lob for size. Holmes stepped out to the Chanel Artists Dinner during the Tribeca Film Festival on Monday, showing off her latest, clavicle-skimming transformation.
Holmes's hairstylist, DJ Quintero, is the mastermind behind the snip and posted a photo of his handiwork to his Instagram page.

For evening, Holmes's hair was styled into perfectly unruly, loose waves, giving a feeling of orchestrated effortlessness. Natural makeup added to the easy feel.
Holmes is no stranger to shorter hair. She's rocked pixies and blunt bobs in the past, so we know that she isn't afraid of a little snip.
If you love Holmes's new 'do, you might want to take a good look at it now. As Hello Giggles noted, soon after sharing a photo of her new style to Instagram, Holmes posted another shot to the social media platform of her sitting in a salon chair, suggesting that she could be planning to kick up her new hairstyle a notch or two, courtesy of Serge Normant.
While the photo could have been taken at the time of her current cut, we suspect that Holmes may have more surprises for us in the hair department – and we're hoping it will be an exciting, drastic departure from the looks she usually serves us. Perhaps she's jumping on the shaved-head bandwagon and will debut an even shorter cut? Or maybe she's been bitten by the unicorn bug and she'll step out next time with a rainbow dye job? Who knows! But one thing's for certain – we'll definitely be watching to see what Holmes does next with her hair.
