My short backed odd-shouldered Arab gelding is HARD TO FIT so I’m trying treeless saddles. I liked how thick and sturdy the leather is in the seat of this Hillason. It will distribute my weight much better than my USED BM Sport Saddle.(Upon receipt the BM folded from horn to cantle when carried if I wasn’t careful.) I almost returned this saddle without opening the box due to all the negative reviews 10-12 years ago. But I decided to give this one a try after all since many improvements can be made over a decade and there weren’t any current reviews to say yay or nay. So I rode in it today and was quite pleased! Yes, the color seems painted on on the stirrup leathers but you can spend much much more and get the same issue. I’m more interested in the support and fit it will give my horse. He seemed fine with it today.
