If you have been tracking the movement of ASRock, you might have noticed that ASRock is releasing more and more middle to high-end motherboards these days. For the last few weeks, a series of eSATAII products had been announced. Today, right after the releasing of 939SLI-eSATA2, ASRock is giving you yet another eSATAII model -939SLI32-eSATA2, the best ultimate platform for AMD K8-939 platform.

939SLI32-eSATA2 is based on the ULi® M1697 and M1695 chipsets. By powering 2 ULI chipsets, ASRock 939SLI32-eSATA2 supports Socket 939 for AMD Athlon 64/64FX/64X2 processor, FSB 1000MHz (2.0GT/s), 1 x Future CPU Port, (Supports CPU upgrade from AMD K8 939-Pin CPU to AM2 940-Pin CPU through AM2CPU board), 2 x PCI Express x 16 slots, 1 x PCI Express x 4 slot, Dual Channel DDR400, 4 DIMMs slots, 4 x Serial ATAII 3.0 Gb/s ports, support RAID 0, 1, 0+1, JBOD and RAID 5, and 2 ports of eSATAII 3.0Gb/s (shared with 2 SATAII ports), "Hot Plug" function, 5.1 Channel with High Definition Audio, and is Windows® Vista Hardware Ready. Standing out among other eSATAII models, 939SLI32-eSATA2 even supports gigabit LAN 10/100/1000Mb/s, IEEE1394 ports which gives you the best network and optimal data transfer speed.

In terms of data transfer speed of hard disk data, 939SLI32-eSATA2 supports eSATAII interface. The external SATAII specification offers the high speed data transfer rate up to 3.0Gb/s, and the convenient mobility like USB. eSATAII is equipped with Hot Plug capability that enables you to exchange drives easily. Currently, on the market, the data transfer rate of USB 2.0 is up to 480Mb/s, and for IEEE 1394a is up to 400Mb/s. However, eSATAII provides a much faster data transfer rate than USB 2.0 and IEEE 1394a, and still keeps the convenience of Hot Plug feature.
