The Proton Satria Neo was first introduced in June 2006 and produced until 2015. It replaced the first generation Satria and was based on a new platform developed in-house by Proton. The automaker produced the Satria to attract a “youthful and sporty” buyer. The Satria Neo was available in two trim levels, namely the GSX and Sport. Each trim was available with either a five-speed manual gearbox or a four-speed automatic gearbox. Three engines also appeared in the Satria Neo that included the 1.3 L CamPro S4PE DOHC I4, the 1.6 L CamPro S4PH DOHC I4 and the 1.6 L CamPro CPS DOHC I4. The engines put out 70 kW/120 Nm, 82 kW/148 Nm and 93 kW/150 Nm respectively.
