Go on a little further and you will see the Mies Van de Rohe Pavilion which was architecturally far beyond it's time when it was built in 1929. Keep on going and there is Poble Espanyol that, like the Pavilion was built in 1929 for the World Fair. Poble Espanyol is a strange village of houses built to represent the architectural styles of the different parts of Spain. There are restaurants, craft shops and a museum of modern art. During the night several bars and clubs make the area come alive.
Poble Espanyol entrance fee: €15.00
There is also a bar up on Montjuïc called Casa de Migdia, it has gorgeous views out to see and a chilled Café del Mar atmosphere. It's probably best to take a taxi if you don't want to have to walk quite a way up hill, ask for the Mirador del Migdia and it's a 2 minute walk away.
If you would prefer to dine in Plaça España itself there are a number of restaurants outside of Las Arenas de Barcelona commercial centre. One other idea might be to go to the top floor of Las Arenas de Barcelona where you can enjoy a fantastic bird's eye view Montjuïc. After this you could dine at any one of the many restaurants that are at the top floor of the Las Arenas. The restaurants are situated all the way around the circumference of the Las Arenas de Barcelona. You have quite a choice of different cuisines to choose from. This could be a romantic way to close of the day.

Plaça España is also home to the Fira de Montjuïc conference centre which are large conference halls that are host to both business and non business conferences.
