Singer and now entrepreneur Nicola Roberts has become something of a poster girl for paler skin over recent years and has even launched a beauty range dedicated to paler complexions like hers.

A perfect antidote to Tango tans, Nicola has found a look that works for her. Her English rose complexion and soft red hair have become something of a trademark for those wishing to ditch the bottle.

Here's how to get her look:

Keeping foundation true to skin tone is a must for this look. Try a light formula like Mac's Face and Body foundation to even out skin tone and conceal any blemishes or under eye circles with a dab of Bobbi Browns Creamy Concealer. A swirl of loose powder where needed should keep the base in place and when it comes to contouring, only the lightest of powders will do. Stick to a soft blush like Benefits Dandelion and apply sparingly on the apples of the cheeks.

Nicola likes to keep her eye make-up understated. Gone are the days of glam eyes and disco diva styling, natural shades are allowed to take centre stage. Begin by working a nude shadow like Nude Beach by Bare Minerals onto the socket and up to the brow bone before working a deeper hue like Mac's Soba along the lashline into the crease. To add definition, trade harsh black tones for softer browns. Mac's eyeliner in Teddy is just such a brown and is perfect for both top and bottom lids. Finish eyes by adding a chocolate mascara like Clinique's Lash Doubling Mascara.

Equally understated are Nicola's trademark rosebud lips. Never without a slick of natural gloss, neutral shades like Rose Exclusifor by Bourjois are a dead ringer for this look, though if you prefer to add a little colour, a slick of pale pink Estee Lauder All Day Lipstick in Cafe Latte should add some pimp to the pout. Nicola's tresses have also taken on a new style of late. Long, lustrous and full of bounce, her strawberry colouring has been enhanced with some subtle blonde balayage. For a similar finish, try swapping the straighters for big tongs and wrap the mid-sections for a full finish - we love this look.
