In a move sure to please the entire world and confuse no one, Tyler, the Creator is introducing a new t-shirt featuring a symbol for the white power movement drenched in LGBT rights colors.
Yes, Tyler likes to make you uncomfortable.
The Odd Future rapper — who frequently dropped the homophobic f-word early in his career despite being pro-LGBT — explained the intentions behind the shirt in a lengthy post on the Golf Wang Tumblr.

Describing his fascination with dictators and hate groups, Tyler explained what brought him to contemplating white power symbols in the first place — and why he wants to subvert, if not re-appropriate, them.
“What if a black guy wore this [white power] logo on a shirt? Would he be promoting self-hate? Would he be taking the power out of a shape? What if a gay guy wore this on a shirt? Would he promoting Homophobia? Then BAM! I Had it. Throw a little rainbow in the and take a photo [above] with a white guy in it and we have an amazing photo,” he wrote.

“The thing that tops it off is the homo erotic tone of the hand holding, which to some degree HAS to piss off the guys who takes this logo serious. This made the photo even more important to me, because it was me playing with the idea of taking the power out of something so stupid. Or maybe my whole idea on this is stupid. Who knows, but why not try it out?”
Whether you’re onboard with this, angry, uncomfortable, suspicious or exasperated, just remember this: At the very least, Tyler is making people think.
