SGR Expedition Van

Automaker UAZ (Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant) from Russia, has made a name for itself by building 4x4s that will work in the most punishing environments, including the deepest wilderness of Siberia. Their legendary UAZ-452 "Bukhanka" van has been in production since 1965. During that time, many modifications were made to it, and today it is sold under the trade name SGR. The Russian manufacturer has now launched a new, harsher version of the truck, naming it SGR Expedition, taking its off-road capabilities to a whole new level. Still powered by a trusty 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine producing 111 horsepower and 146 ft-lb of torque, the SGR Expedition receives heavy-duty bumpers at both ends, a winch, a metal skid plate underneath the van, locking rear differential, Spicer axles from Dana, a heavy-duty roof rack and roof-ladder, heated seats, and extra instrumentation and wiring preparation for satellite radio. The combo van rides on 225/75R16 BFGoodrich all-terrain tires, and a full-sized spare wheel also mounts to the rear. This old-school overlander is sold in orange, or in olive green, and is available for around $15,500+.
