Brendan Jacob Smith sings the music of Art Garfunkel. He’s been in the role for the past 3 years. He said he’s listened to the duo since high school.

“I’ve admired Art Garfunkel’s angelic voice for years and I feel very grateful to sing all of this incredible music every night,” Smith said.

He said he has spent a lot of time studying Garfunkel’s voice to play the role.

“He has a very specific sound, and I always have to check back into the recordings of him singing before going on stage every night. His voice is very iconic, so I want to get it right,” Smith said.

The show even includes Simon and Garfunkel’s famous reunion in 1981, where more than half a million fans watched them perform in New York’s Central Park. Smith said that’s his favorite part.

“The audience gets to experience what it would have been like to have seen that concert live. I love singing the song ‘Baby Driver’ in particular during that part of the show,” he said.

You can expect to see videos, pictures, and original film footage, as well as a live band performing all of Simon and Garfunkel’s hits including, “Mrs. Robinson,” “Cecilia,” and “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”

Performances are on Tuesday, Feb. 13, and Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the King Center in Melbourne. Click here for ticket information.
