Forget Eastenders, Coronation Street, or even Emmerdale, when it comes to drama the first place I search is my YouTube subscription feed.

On Monday night, Jeffree Star did not disappoint when he took to Twitter to drop some serious truth bombs about the beauty industry.

Previously the beauty mogul had said he wanted to film a video 'exposing makeup brand deals'. Showing what goes on behind the scenes when a brand sponsors an influencer, including how much influencers are really paid. However, his plans have been temporarily scuppered after the brand who was working with him on the video pulled out.

Jeffree claims the unnamed brand pulled out because they were concerned that other influencers would be upset at the amount he was being paid, compared to them.

While it's no secret that YouTubers and influencers can earn a hell of a lot of money through sponsorship deals, the actual amount is never made clear.

Forbes released their highest paid YouTuber list earlier this month and with an estimated yearly income of £18million for 2018, Jeffree came in at number five. However it looks like that figure could be way off the mark, if Jeffree's Tweet is anything to go by.

Explaining that he "finds it funny" how brands won't disclose how much they pay influencers, Jeffree revealed that he had been offered $165,00 to use this brand's product.

To save you the time of googling 'dollars to pounds', that means Jeffree gets around £130,000 for using just one product, in just one video.

Comparing it to regular advertising and 'Pepsi paying to be in a movie', Jeffree Star and his 'Jeffree Star approved' franchise are clearly in high demand.

Earlier this year, fellow YouTuber James Charles also took to Twitter, to argue that YouTubers aren't paid enough compared to regular celebrities, considering their high levels of engagement and sales from brands.

Now, does anyone know how I can get almost 12million YouTube subscribers overnight, without actually having a channel?
