David Port was also filmed leaping over a wall and loading a heavy cabinet into a car, despite convincing officials he was so disabled he could barely walk.

The 50-year-old was even dubbed “Andy” after Matt Lucas’s Little Britain character who pretends to be disabled but leaps out of his chair for wacky stunts when carer Lou’s back is turned.

Port was snapped doing DIY after telling officials he was too sick to get a job in Norbury, south London.

He claimed he had chest pain, shortness of breath, carpal tunnel syndrome, fits, vascular disease and brittle-bone disease.

But inspectors filmed him lifting and sawing wood and the scam ended this week as Port admitted three counts of fraud at Croydon Crown Court.

Between August 2002 and March 2007 he got £100,000 benefits to adapt his home and pay “carers” such as his wife Susan, 54.

She admitted falsely claiming to be his carer. The pair could be jailed when they are sentenced next month.

After the hearing Port maintained his ailments were genuine, whining: “It hurts all the time.”
