German Under 21 lose to Czech Republic

The German Under 21 side lost the second match of their Euro 2011 qualifying campaign 1-2 to the Czech Republic. They had won their first match against San Marino 6-0. Michael Rabusic scored a brace for the Czechs while Mats Hummel's goal during injury time couldn't turn the score around for the Germans.

The Czechs, who are leading the group 5 and haven't dropped a point yet, had the better start. In the 20th minute they took the lead thanks to Rabusic' first goal.

After the break referee Stuart Attwell sent Stefano Celozzi off for a last man foul and handed the Czech Republic a penalty which was converted by Rabusic (70th minute). In the injury time Attwell awarded another penalty, this time for the Germany side, after Sam was fouled in the penalty box. Mats Hummels scored his second goal in the Under 21 National team but he couldn't prevent the defeat.
