Mads Mikkelsen is open to the idea of reprising his role as Dr Lecter in Hannibal, but he says that time is "running out".
Despite the NBC drama's widespread critical acclaim, it was cancelled after three seasons in 2015 due to low viewership.
Mikkelsen, however, recently told Deadline that there's "always a chance" it could be revived. It's just down to finding another home for it, and finding the time.

"Of course, we’re running out of time," he warned. "We can’t wait 20 years. But in the next couple of years, if somebody finds a home, I think we are all ready to take it up again."
Hugh Dancy, who played Will Graham on the show, confirmed earlier this year that the entire Hannibal cast would be up for doing a fourth season, though he's not surprised it hasn't happened.
"We keep saying, when we get asked, 'Oh, we'd love to do it', which is true. Maybe it'll take one of us to say, 'I will absolutely never do a fourth season of Hannibal', but that would be a lie," he explained.

The Downton Abbey star continued: "I'm not exactly surprised because essentially, first and foremost, somebody has to write a fairly sizeable check.
"I'm not talking about me being paid. I'm talking about the cost of making a season of television.
"For a while, it seemed like the streamers were gonna be everybody's saviour, in that respect, but now there's been a cut-off there. There are shows that are watched by millions of people that don't make it past a second season. So, I have no idea what that calculation is."
