    A great HTPC Cooler

    Cooler sits in my M-ATX build and provides good cooling to the motherboard and associated components. As I am not a fan (no pun intended) of slim fans, I swapped out the stock fan for the 140mm GlideStream from Scythe. Keeps my G3258 @ 3.9GHz around 35 C after moderate tasks. Good enough...can barely hear it, case fans are louder (Silverstone SG09 AP 180mm w/ AP 121 + 2 AP 81) Plenty of clearance for RAM....have been dealing with Scythe for some time, and they have yet to disappoint.

    Completely quiet at low RPM, but can make a bit of noise when the CPU is under load

    This Scythe Fan works very, very well. It has a fantastic profile and I'm very confident in it's cooling capacity. When I looked up the Thermal Design Power (TDP), it was listed on Quiet PC's NZ site as "all" and I'm pretty sure that's about right. When the CPU starts to need some cooling and the fan revs up, the noise it makes isn't too bad, but it could be a bit quieter. To address that, I may at some point consider replacing the fan with a noctua equivalent. But I imagine the improvement wouldn't be a huge difference. I would most recomend this product (SCBSK-2100) for HTPCs. It will fit most boxes (58mm tall) and deliver excellent cooling.

    Great for confined spaces!

    A bit expensive, but it IS very low profile, and performs really well for it's size. It's enough to cool a Core i7, perhaps even with a little overclock. Fan is 4 pin (PWM) and is whisper quiet.
