Position Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to get in at the ground level of what will be Sydney’s Home of Queer History and Culture. As a rapidly growing organisation, this role will evolve and grow quite quickly. If you are a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a passion for supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, this is the role for you.

As the Executive Assistant to the CEO at Qtopia Sydney, your responsibilities will encompass creating reports and presentations, managing administrative tasks, facilitating smooth operations, and handling various essential functions crucial to Qtopia Sydney’s success.

Key Responsibilities

Support to CEO:

  • Act as a primary point of contact between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Manage and coordinate the CEO's schedule, including calendar, appointments, and travel arrangements.
  • Prepare and organise documents, reports, and presentations for meetings, ensuring accuracy and professional presentation.

Report Writing and Presentation Creation:

  • Produce high-quality reports, documents, and presentations, displaying a strong command of language and visual communication.
  • Develop, design, and create compelling PowerPoint presentations with attention to detail, visual appeal, and accuracy.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in a similar role, demonstrating significant expertise in creating impactful PowerPoint presentations and writing comprehensive reports.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly with advanced knowledge of PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in using Canva or other graphic design programs to create content.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Experience in office management and coordination.
  • Basic IT troubleshooting experience.

Package

  • Superannuation contribution of 11%
  • 20 days annual leave per annum (pro-rated to 0.8 FTE)
  • 6-month probationary period
  • Based in Darlinghurst
  • Parking onsite
  • Proven right to work in Australia
  • Working with Children Check mandatory
