Volz extends Fulham stay

Defender Moritz Volz has signed a contract extension at Fulham until 2009. "I am very glad that I have now signed my extension with the club," Volz told the club's official website.

"I am happy to be playing again and I am looking forward to the things that come now.
"Things are going well here, and we want to progress as a team. I believe the next couple of results are key in what we can hope to achieve this season."
The 23-year-old German joined the club from Arsenal for an undisclosed fee in January 2004, and is nearing his 100th appearance for the club.
