Miley Cyrus And Beyoncé Are Just Getting Started

Following

Beyoncé invaded the Billboard charts with her new album Cowboy Carter and the songs featured on the country set two weeks ago. The biggest new hit from the bunch was “II Most Wanted,” a duet with Miley Cyrus. As that cut begins to fall down the Hot 100, it’s picking up steam at radio, which remains incredibly important in America when it comes to crafting a proper smash.

“II Most Wanted” debuts on this week’s Pop Airplay chart. The tune arrives on Billboard’s ranking of the tracks that earn the largest number of audience impressions across top 40 pop radio stations throughout the U.S. at No. 31.

Cyrus and Beyoncé earn their first joint hit on any of Billboard’s radio charts this week. “II Most Wanted” marks the first collaboration between the two superstars, and it’s becoming a quick hit at pop stations everywhere as it’s pushed as the latest single from Cowboy Carter.

“II Most Wanted” earns the loftiest debut on the Pop Airplay chart this week. In fact, it’s one of only two new arrivals on the tally. Hozier’s “Too Sweet” launches just one rung behind the Beyoncé/Cyrus duet.

With this latest win, Cyrus collects her nineteenth career placement on the Pop Airplay chart. Beyoncé, who has been at this a lot longer than her counterpart, has now landed 29 appearances on the tally. That sum includes only her solo work, and not the music she released as a member of Destiny’s Child.

Beyoncé fills two spaces on the Pop Airplay chart this week. Her first single from Cowboy Carter, “Texas Hold ‘Em,” climbs to a new high of No. 7 on the ranking this time around.

“II Most Wanted” is just getting started, and it’s almost surely going to continue to rise on the Pop Airplay chart in the coming weeks. It may also reach other Billboard rankings that focus on radio, with several being possible new homes for the title. With both Beyoncé and Cyrus on board, and plenty of resources being poured into the track and its promotion, the two could soon claim a new top 10 smash, and there’s no telling how high the cut will climb.
