When I saw this photo of Katie Holmes at an event in NYC yesterday, my immediate reaction was "It's Joey Potter meets Kate Middleton!"
With her low-key denim jacket, super-natural makeup, and little crooked smile, Katie looks very circa Dawson's Creek (/pre-Mrs. Tom Cruise). But her tousled wavy blowout is much more glam than that—this hair is more Kate Middleton-esque. Maybe she even has some subtle extensions in there adding extra oomph and volume?
